Oklahoma Teaching Artist Roster
Creative Writing
The Teaching Artist Roster is a resource list of Oklahoma artists who have been vetted by the Oklahoma Arts Council and are available to schools and organizations for arts education and learning programs. Each artist accepted to the roster has demonstrated artistic and instructional abilities, and is familiar with curriculum and instructional strategies.

Gwendolyn Hooks
Gwendolyn Hooks is a published author with eleven books for children, both fiction and nonfiction. -
Deborah J. Hunter
Through writing exercises and the creative process, participants working with Deborah will come to understand the difference between poetry and stream of consciousness writing. -
Jeanetta Calhoun Mish
Mish has published book reviews and academic critical essays on poetry and has performed poetry readings and workshops for more than 20 years -
Beth Robinson
Robinson's inspiring residencies nurture and encourage participants to contact and express their own creativity. -
Carolyn D. Wall
A full-time freelance writer and lecturer on university campuses and in conference centers around the country, Wall conducts intense workshops in Fiction, Short Story and Feature Writing, Journaling, and Writing for Children. -
Patricia Webb
Webb teaches respect for diversity by encouraging children, teens, and adults to go within and mine the rich resources of their personal history, dreams, and aspirations for the future
