The Artwork
With multiple layers of paint applied in a loose, dripping manner, strata of color build upon a surface of white. The artist has applied the cool colors of green, blue, and violet over the warmer colors of yellow, orange, and red. The results is the visual advancement of the warm colors of the background, as the cool colors of the foreground recede.
