Recollections #4-Lantern Quilt by Sue Moss Sullivan

The Artwork

With a modern and understated design, this mixed media work on paper features 15 folded and twisted lantern forms atop 15 layered square shapes. Using repetition and symmetry, the three columns of stacked shapes in this artwork may bring to mind the excitement of paper lanterns rising in unison at a celebration or the comforts of a quilt handed down the generations.
