Community Arts Programs Resources

The Oklahoma Arts Council encourages non-profit organizations to investigate the availability of  funding through foundations in their own communities.   

Festival and Events Association of Oklahoma
The Festival and Events Association of Oklahoma is a non-profit alliance of events and event resources.  The organization promotes education, leadership development and networking throughout Oklahoma and neighboring states.

Foundation Center
The Foundation Center collects, organizes and communicates information on U.S. philanthropy.  They provide a list of the top 50 U.S. foundations awarding grants for arts, culture and the humanities.

GrantSAT
This is a link to the GrantSAT, distributed by Central Michigan University.  The GrantSAT is an outstanding tool for evaluating, and hence improving, each section of a grant proposal. 

International Festivals and Events Association
The IFEA is a worldwide association which supports and enables festival and event professionals. It networks "all those who produce and support quality celebrations for the benefit of their respective 'communities'" and its primary focus is identifying and providing access to the professional resources and networks that will inspire and enable those in the industry.

Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits
The center provides quality training and development programs through two major sources, workshops and delivery of on-site seminars.  Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits also offers consulting services.

Oklahoma Community Theatre Association
The Oklahoma Community Theatre Association (OCTA) is a statewide networking and support organization for community theatre in Oklahoma.  Programs and services include:  management and artistic consultation, theatre script and theatre management resource library, grants and scholarships for members, adult and youth theatre arts conferences, statewide play festival (OCTAFest), statewide e-mail notification of theatre news and in-school theatre arts training. 

Oklahoma Main Street Center
The Oklahoma Main Street Center provides training and technical assistance for preservation-based commercial district revitalization. 

Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department
The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department works to advance economic development through the promotion of travel and tourism to and within the state of Oklahoma.
