OKLAHOMA ARTS COUNCIL OFFERS FORUM
FOR
NEW AND EMERGING ARTS LEADERS
Oklahoma Statewide Arts Conference In Enid, Nov. 12–14

Oklahoma City, OK -- If you are a young and emerging arts leader, the Oklahoma Arts Council encourages you to register for the Forum for New and Emerging Arts Leaders to be held at the Oklahoma Statewide Arts Conference from Nov. 12 – 14 at the Cherokee Strip Conference Center in Enid.
The forum will take place on Wednesday, November 12th from 1-4 p.m. and is designed for those under the age of 35 or with less than 5 years of experience in the arts or arts administration.
Oklahoma Arts Council Executive Director Suzanne Tate said this session will address obstacles that new and emerging arts leaders face in their careers. “This forum will provide participants time to identify creative strategies for advancing their careers in the arts and build statewide peer support.”

A limited number of scholarships are available and will cover the registration fee as well as a portion of travel and lodging. Through the generous support of Oklahoma’s National Bank of Commerce, the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition is providing a unique opportunity for new and emerging arts leaders to apply for scholarship funds. Deadline is apply October 10, 2008 and applications are available online at www.arts.ok.gov
