Small Grant Support Criteria

Project Programming Component Review Criteria
Organization’s not applying in Major Grant Support or Organizational Support are eligible for up to TWO Small Grant Support applications per fiscal year. Each project must fall under only ONE programming component. The most significant type of activity within the project determines the programming component.

Programming Components

  • Community Arts Programs
    • Community Arts Programs support the advancement of cultural and economic development of Oklahoma through community based arts activities such as exhibitions and performances.
  • Arts Education in Schools
    • Arts Education in Schools support arts activities or resources above and beyond those typically made available by the school, that develop students’ skills and knowledge in dance, drama, music, visual arts, traditional arts or creative writing, and that are taught by qualified arts instructors.
  • Arts Learning in Communities
    • Arts Learning in Communities support arts instruction, classes and workshops for participants of all ages, abilities and life circumstances where a predominant amount of the participant’s time is devoted to the creative arts process and excludes arts education in the schools.
