Non-School first time applicants are required to apply in the Small Grant Category.

- Review the eligibility requirements and complete the login registration process. The registration process generally takes 2 weeks so allow plenty of time prior to the application deadline of your project.
- Review the guidelines for Small Grant Support. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the starting date of your project. Do not wait until the due date to begin your application. We recommend beginning at least two weeks out from the actual due date to allow plenty of time in case there are any problems.
- Determine which ONE of the following three programming component is the best "fit" for your project.
- Arts Education in Schools - support arts activities or resources above and beyond those typically made available by the school, that develop students’ skills and knowledge in dance, drama, music, visual arts, traditional arts or creative writing, and that are taught by qualified arts instructors.

- Arts Learning in Communities - supports arts instruction, workshops and classes for participants of all ages, abilities and life circumstances where a predominant amount of the participant’s time is devoted to the creative arts process and excludes arts education in the schools.

- Community Arts Programming
- supports the advancement of cultural and economic development of Oklahoma through community based arts activities such as exhibitions, performances and community arts festivals.

- View the application preview. You will need to click on the appropriate programming component. The application preview provides you with a list of all questions and requirements for the actual application. Compose your application in a word processing document that you can save to your computer. This document will allow you to copy and paste responses directly into the e-grant application. The actual application is submitted on-line after you login to the e-grant system.
- All successful applicants are required to submit a final report at the conclusion of their project in order to receive funding. Review the final report preview so that you are aware of information to collect during the course of your project. Remember to keep all receipts as all final reports are subject to audit.
- Read the general instructions and the frequently asked questions for the e-grant system.
- Contact staff if you have any questions concerning your project at least 10 DAYS prior to the actual deadline. This will allow enough time for the staff to assist you with the application.
- NOW login into the system. By this time you should have completed the following:
- The login registration and have your login and password set.
- You should have read all the guidelines and criteria.
- You should have read the preview and formulated your responses to the application questions in a word document which you will use to copy and paste into the on-line application.
- You should have reviewed the final report requirements.
- You should have contacted a staff member and discussed your project and application.
- You should have read the general instructions for moving through the application process.
- After you have logged in you should see the Small Grant Support Link which will being the application process.
- Applications are reviewed monthly. You will be notified via mail and awards can also be viewed by clicking on "View Details" after you login to the e-grant system.
- After you complete your project you will be required to submit a Final Report online through the e-grant system no later than 30 days after the ending date that you listed on your application.
- Payment should be expected within 4-6 weeks following the submission of your final report.
