Four Seasons:
Abstract Nature
July 18 thru September 18, 2005
Christina
Busche’s exhibit Four Seasons: Abstract
Nature conveys nature
as an inspirational catalyst of creative thought that evokes emotions
within herself as well as evoking emotions within the audience. The
four seasons are symbolic of many aspects of life and our inner selves.
For example, blooming flowers can represent birth, re-birth, femininity
or simply a sweet smell while the manifestation of snow-laden grasses
can seem macabre or magnificent.
Busche’s art is a tangible representation of herself, in which the art is the paramount form of expression. Once a subject is determined based on a feeling, a thought or an experience, she then envisions the idea two dimensionally. The excursion then begins to find something of the ordinary that can be transformed into what she aspires to be representational of her emotions. Busche experiments with a variety of mediums until the desired effect is achieved.
In Four
Seasons: Abstract Nature, Busche said, “This current
group of works is the inspiration of nature and the landscapes around
us. I have used a color to represent each season, painting the images
to bring them to life for the time of year they represent. Creating
art is the best way of expression for me.”
