Guidelines for American Masterpieces grants for Chamber Music, Presenting and Visual Arts Touring are now available. American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius is a major initiative to acquaint Americans with the best of their cultural and artistic legacy. Through American Masterpieces, the National Endowment for the Arts will sponsor performances, exhibitions, tours, and educational programs across all art forms that will reach large and small communities in all 50 states.

Artsplash 2008

The Rockaway Artists Alliance (RAA) invites all artists to call up their wide artistic vision, talent and imagination to shape ARTSPLASH 2008, a multimedia arts event. ARTSPLASH, a vibrant juried exhibition of original works, is a major showcase for the visual and performing arts which will be exhibited in the sTudio 6 and sTudio 7 galleries, the outdoor sculpture garden and on the indoor and outdoor stages at Fort Tilden, Rockaway, Queens, New York.  It is open to all media. ARTSPLASH 2008 is presented in partnership with the National Park Service / Gateway National Recreation Area.

International Performers Village 08

The International Performers Village is a four-week course designed as the intensive consecutive process of mounting a performance by Ostrenko method. As a result of practical training, discussion and rehearsals, all participants will become the co-authors
of the work-in-progress under the artistic direction of Sergey Ostrenko.

Dance Professionals Workshop
Weeks Offered: June 13-19, June 20-26, June 27-July 3,
July 4-10

This uniquely designed program allows participants to personalize their ADF experience according to their professional needs and interests. All DPW participants are invited to attend the two-hour creative inquiry workshops on Wednesdays. The creative inquiry workshop will provide a place for DPW participants to dialogue with each other about their research and issues impacting their current artistic practice.
Four Week School for Young Dancers
June 22 – July 18
This immerses students in an intergenerational and international community of dance, providing a fun yet intensive program of study designed to meet the needs of mature students ages 12 to 16. Students take three classes each day, four days a week, and participate in special workshops and master classes offered by guest artists on Wednesday s and weekends. Classes include modern, ballet, hip-hop, African dance styles, composition, and repertory. The focus of this program is to expose students to a wide range of dance styles and techniques. Learning experiences go beyond the studio: students have the unique opportunity to view performances by many of the most outstanding dancers and choreographers working today. Students attend performances by all visiting companies; have scheduled museum visits, music classes, and panel discussions. Young dancers become aware of the breadth and depth of the contemporary dance world.

The Fund for U.S. Artists at International Festivals and Exhibitions

The Fund for U.S. Artists at International Festivals and Exhibitions (The Fund) is a public-private partnership established to help ensure that the excellence, diversity, and vitality of the arts in the United States are represented at international festivals and exhibitions. The Fund is supported by two federal agencies, the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of State, and by two foundations, The Pew Charitable Trusts and The Rockefeller Foundation. It is administered by Arts International (AI), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting and supporting global connection and interchange in the arts. The Fund mades grants to individual performing artists and to organizations that have been invited to participate in international festivals outside the United States. The Fund also helps support the creative and professional development of U.S. artists through the presentation of their work at significant international festivals worldwide.
