Gale Holt is a dedicated artist who has been painting and making art for more than 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and has exhibited her work throughout the state. She believes it is important to paint what you know best and what you are most familiar with, therefore she believes, each artist is responsible for recording his or her own locale. Gale’s residency format will initially present specific elements and principles of design, followed by a brief art exercise as a way to “warm up” to the residencies chosen in-depth art project. During a residency students will have the opportunity to experience art processes and techniques such as collage, drawing, painting or watercolor.
