Awareness
Raise public awareness about the arts and its value to the economic, educational, and cultural quality of life in Oklahoma.
Grants:
- Provide grants to non-profit organizations to produce and promote cultural activities.
Staff Services:
- Provide technical assistance to non-profit organizations on methods of promoting cultural activities.
- Manage and promote special events to attract media coverage and public support of the arts.
Public Information:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public awareness plans that effectively and efficiently promote the value of the arts, increase public awareness of cultural activities and increase the public profile of the Oklahoma Arts Council and its leadership role in providing programs and services.
- Maintain a web site that provides Oklahoma arts and cultural information.
Partnerships:
- Cultivate partnerships with the Oklahoma legislature, government agencies, businesses, educational and cultural organizations to advance the arts.
