Access
Increase opportunities for all Oklahomans to create, perform or attend arts activities.
Grants:
- Provide grants to non-profit organizations for cultural programs that are diverse and accessible to all Oklahomans.
- Provide grants to non-profit organizations that invest in, preserve and present Oklahoma’s cultural traditions.
- Provide grants to non-profit organizations that commit resources, time and space to support Oklahoma artists in creating, performing and exhibiting their work.
Staff Services:
- Provide consultation and technical assistance to non-profit organizations throughout the state, regardless of size and accomplishment, ensuring they have access to the agency’s programs and services.
- Assist in the professional development of Oklahoma artists.
- Facilitate projects that provide Oklahomans access to arts activities.
- Develop mechanisms to help organizations assess and provide services to constituents with special needs that assure equal opportunity to participate in the arts.
Public Information:
- Produce and disseminate information about Oklahoma’s varied cultural activities through the media, publications and the Internet.
- Provide information about funding and career development opportunities to Oklahoma artists.
Partnerships:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with other public and private agencies to strengthen programs in the areas of at-risk youth, community development, cultural heritage, economic development, education, and people with special needs.
